Crochet Hats

I had a lot of time to make these hats while I was on maternity leave with my 2nd baby...

Most of these are done with the basic crochet hat pattern found here. To do eyes, you simply keep crocheting in a round (just like starting the top of your hat) and change colors as needed. Attach to hat using a crochet needle.

Frog Hat:

To add ear flaps, I've followed tutorials here. To attach the long braided pieces, just cut out as many pieces of yarn at the length you want, and insert one end to the bottom of flaps and braid.

Owl Hats
(Green using yarn as eyes, Blue using button as eyes, & sleeping owl sewing sleepy eyes):

I honestly don't remember how I made the ear flaps for this puppy. I didn't use a tutorial. I just chained stitches to the length I wanted and crochet around until I got the desired width.

Puppy Hat:

I followed Bobwilson123's tutorial for the granny square hat.
She had it in 4 videos. Video 1. Video 2. Video 3. Video 4.

Granny Square Hat:

The butterfly section of the hat is available here.

Baby Girl Butterfly Beanie:

This hat is a basic pattern with flaps and additional larger piece in front that folds up. Then I pulled it up and attached it with buttons. You can find the tutorial here.

Aviator Hat:

Oh... the Dino hat. I saw this on Pinterest and just winged it. I started with the basic hat and added a super long "flap" for the tail end and crocheted spikes in green.

Dino Hat:

For this sock monkey hat, I started with the basic hat pattern in white, changed it to Grey and added flaps. I then attached the ears and mouth and used buttons for the eyes. I then attached long strands of yarn and braided it. To make the pom poms, you can follow the tutorial here.

These were so much fun to make. There's too many for me to post here. I'll try and post more as I make them. There's very little time with 2 little ones and being extremely uncomfortable during this pregnancy.

Here are some photos of little cuties with the hats:
